Hello, 6th Grade!
Here's what we did today in class: ★AGENDA★ 6-1: 1. We started class by reviewing what an analysis paragraph is. 2. Then, we wrote an analysis paragraph for chapter 2. 6-2: 1. We started class by filling in the graphic organizer in WB p.20 to find the theme of the story. 2. Then, we completed WB p.25: Practice - Genre/Literary Elements. 3. Lastly, we completed WB pp.23-24: Practice - Comprehension & Vocabulary Strategy: Context Clues. 6-3: 1. We started class by completing WB p.25: Practice - Genre/Literary Elements. 2. Then, we reviewed what a pronoun is and 4 different kinds of pronouns: subject, object, relative, and reflexive. 3. Lastly, we did WB pp.44-45: Grammar - Different Kinds of Pronouns. ☆HOMEWORK☆ 6-1: Due Tuesday, October 18th, 2022 1. Do WA #2.3. Topic: Rewrite WA #2.2 (Chapter 1 analysis paragraph). 2. Do WA #3.2. Topic: Read the stories "The Bake Sale" and "Something to Do." Then, write an analysis paragraph comparing which of the two authors did a better job developing realistic characters. (*Due: 10/24) **Attached are the stories and the writing assignment in case you need an extra copy. 6-2: No homework 6-3: Due Friday, October 21st, 2022 1. Do WB pp.21-23,46 (4 workbook pages).
