[04/20] Ms. Bak - 6th Grade English Homework: 6-1 / 6-3 / 6-4

Hello, 6th Grade!
Here's what we did in class today:

☆AGENDA☆
6-1:
1. We started class by going over the homework: WB pp.43-45.

2. Then, we continued to work on some more grammar pages, reviewing the simple and continuous tenses: WB pp.46-47.

3. Lastly, I went over how to rewrite your first writing assignment.

6-3:
1. We started class by finishing up the grammar pages for chapter 1: WB pp.46-47.

2. Then, after I explained how to write your third writing assignment (WA#3), you started to work on it.

6-4:
1. We started class by going over the homework: WB pp.37-39.

2. Then, we continued to work on some more grammar pages, reviewing the simple and continuous tenses: WB pp.40-43.

★HOMEWORK★
6-1:Monday, April 24th, 2023
1. Rewrite the paragraph in WB p.46.
Remember that you should highlight the verbs you fixed in the paragraph you rewrote.

2. Do WA#1.2 (Rewrite).
Topic: Rewrite WA #1 (Self-Introduction).
As I explained in class, if you got a check minus, you will have to write a NEW self-introduction. Make sure to use the outline worksheet I gave you. Organize your body paragraphs properly, and start writing your self-introduction based on the information I gave you on the outline worksheet.
**Attached are a copy of the outline worksheet and the rewrite template in case you need any of them:

3. Study for chapter test, (*Due: 4/27)
**Attached are the study guide, stories, list of irregular verbs, and the ppt I used to review the verb tenses.

6-3: Friday, April 21st, 2023
1. Complete your brainstorming worksheet for WA #3.1.
As I told you in class, you will have tomorrow's class to work on your writing assignment. Therefore, make sure to have all of your ideas and thoughts organized in your brainstorming worksheet so you can start writing your story in class tomorrow right away.
**Attached is a copy of the worksheet if you need it: Gr6_WA3_Vocab Story_Brainstorming Map_Ms_Bak.pdf

2. Complete WA #3.1. (*Due: 4/24@8:00 AM)
Topic: Use ALL 8 vocabulary words and finish the story that has been started for you.
This writing assignment should be done online. The Google Doc is available in Google Classroom. Make sure to submit your work on time.

6-4: Friday, April 21st, 2023
1. Do WB pp.44-46.
You do NOT have to rewrite the paragraph in WB p.46. Like we did in WB p.40, simply circle the mistakes you can find in the paragraph and then write how to fix each mistake nearby.
**Attached is the ppt I used to review the verb tenses if you need it.
